About Us

A living bridge between generations

Rasos Lithuanian School has been a cornerstone of the Lithuanian community in Naperville for over three decades. Located at 1313 N Mill St, our school provides a nurturing environment where students of all ages develop real Lithuanian language skills — from their very first words to advanced literary fluency.

We believe that language learning is about more than grammar and vocabulary. It is about identity, belonging, and the ability to speak with your grandparents, your neighbors, and your future self in the language of your ancestors. Every lesson is designed to make Lithuanian feel alive, relevant, and deeply personal.

Programs designed for

Children's Program

For students ages 5–12, our children's program makes Lithuanian fun and natural. Through songs, crafts, storytelling, and play, young learners build a strong foundation in speaking, listening, and reading.

Ages 5–12 · All levels

Youth & Teen Program

For students ages 13–18, we go deeper — literature, conversation, and cultural exploration. Teens connect with their heritage on their own terms, building confidence in both spoken and written Lithuanian.

Ages 13–18 · All levels

Adult Classes

Adults learning Lithuanian — whether for family, travel, or personal passion — find a supportive space at Rasos. Evening and weekend sessions are available to fit your schedule.

Ages 18+ · Beginner to advanced

Summer Intensive

A week-long immersive experience each summer. Students dive deep into language, music, dance, and Lithuanian traditions — returning home with renewed fluency and lasting memories.

Heritage & Culture

Beyond language, we celebrate Lithuanian holidays, folk traditions, music, and art. Students participate in Kūčios, Vėrinės, Jāņi, and other cultural events that bring the language to life.

Lithuanian is one of the oldest living Indo-European languages — a living artifact of Baltic history, poetry, and worldview. When we teach Lithuanian at Rasos, we are not simply conjugating verbs or memorizing vocabulary.
